Client Brief

The Brief: Capturing Oke Charity Outdoor Classroom Working Bees Since 2022

Oke Charity has been building outdoor classrooms in Auckland schools since 2016 — giving kids who don’t thrive in four walls a space to learn by doing, connect with others, and build real confidence. Since Working Bee #26 in 2022, we’ve been their dedicated media partner, capturing each build as it happens.

Each working bee brings together volunteers, sponsors, and the Oke team to construct an outdoor classroom in a single day. We’re on site for two to three hours, shooting the energy of the build, the people behind it, and the sponsor products that make it all possible — from ground level and from the air.  We shoot 2 to 3 working bees per school term.

Every build gets a full content package: a highlight edit, a social reel, a timelapse of the transformation, 100+ images, and an online gallery — delivered to both the school and the project sponsors. With Working Bee #80 now complete, it’s a body of work we’re genuinely proud to be part of.
