Moving Films & Photography Website

Moving Films & Photography is our wedding brand. We wanted one website that could look after a couple from their first enquiry to their final gallery: browsing real weddings, comparing transparent packages, planning the day, paying, and downloading their photos and films.

We also wanted to stop paying for a stack of separate video, photo and gallery subscriptions that the couple end up paying for, so we built the tools ourselves, around the way we already work.

Our branding, logo and theme have no colour.  The palette is black and white, deliberate and intentional.

Not all weddings are rustic, moody, bright & airy, vibrant & rich, black & white, beige & gold. And, we don’t want to add our favourite colours or our personality to anyone’s wedding day. Anyone viewing our website are looking at the real day of the couple. Colour grading choices come from the couple and the feel of the day, not from our favourite presets, and not through the filter of our branding.

We keep our side of things neutral both before your wedding – you won’t find our favourite colours in your client portal before your wedding while you’re planning and pondering your own wedding colours, and after your wedding – we aren’t using our preferred lightroom presets on every single gallery.

We are the storytellers, not the story.

We upload our deliverables to Dropbox once. The gallery reads those folders and brings in thumbnails and optimised files for each gallery, so there is nothing to upload twice.

Once a gallery is built, we mark the featured images and they flow straight into the matching blog post, with no duplicate uploads. Photos and videos are all served from the same place, and the whole workflow lives where we already keep our work.
